Q. On some of the French estate agent publicity there is FAI or HAI by the price, what does it stand for?
A. FAI or HAI against a price of a property on the publicity confirms that the agents fee is included in the price. FAI stands for Frais Agence Inclus and HAI stands for honoraires d'agence inclus. They mean the same thing. If the price does not have FAI or HAI against the price then you may need to add the agents fees to the price. If there is ever any doubt then it is best to get the estate agent to confirm that this is included in the price and if not how much you will need to add. The FAI or HAI price does not include the notaire's fee which includes the purchase tax. This is on average 7% of the sale price and will need to be added when budgeting your property purchase.
All properties of Destination La France are inclusive of agents fees. All properties identified through our property search service are also inclusive of agents fees. We can also calculate the notaire fee for you as well.
